European performance tours for high school, college and adult band, choir and orchestra musicians, on Europe’s great stages since 1975.
A high school band director and his wife founded American Music Abroad in 1975. Since then AMA has organized more than 350 international music tours for over 40,000 participants, mostly through Western Europe. Since 2022 it has been part of Peak Group Travel in New Hope, Pennsylvania.
Musicians from many schools and states rehearse into one ensemble, then spend 10 to 20 days performing in halls, cathedrals and town squares across several countries, with a full-time tour escort on every tour. The 2027 season brings nine tours to ten countries.
